About this painting
A crowd gathered on the shore below Dalt Vila under a night sky — the old town's walls above a mass of figures worked in heavy, saturated colour. Two by three metres, and the painting Behzad puts first. It hangs in the San Juan gallery, where the second photograph in this catalogue shows it on the wall with a visitor standing in front of it, which is the only way the scale survives a screen.
